Carmex Precision Tools offers its spiral mill-thread, designed to enable smooth cutting operations at high feed rates and reduced machining time, the company says. The tools are suited for a range of applications, from small components in small machining centers to heavy-duty applications in high-power milling machines. The spiral-fluted toolholders hold two to nine inserts in a comparatively small cutting diameter. The tools are designed to reduce vibration and chatter, and offer an MT7 sub-micron-grade with titanium aluminum nitride multi-layer coating (ISO K10-K20). This is a general-purpose grade that can be used with all materials, the company reports.
