Motion Industries, Incis a recipient of the General Motors 2000 Supplier of the Year Award, the fifth time in a row that Motion has taken home the prize.

The award, now in its ninth consecutive year, is given each year to GM's best global suppliers, recognizing outstanding performance during the previous calendar year.

"These suppliers provide exceptional levels of quality, service
and technology innovations at competitive cost levels - the
ingredients necessary for auto manufacturers and suppliers to win in a very competitive marketplace," says GM's Bo Andersson, executive in charge of worldwide purchasing. "They have set an example in the past year for other companies to follow."

Started in 1992, the Supplier of the Year award is given to companies based on quality, service, technology and price. Winners are chosen by a worldwide team of executives from
purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics.This year, GM gave the award to 165 suppliers from 20 countries.
