NEW, SIMPLE AND ECONOMICAL AUTOMATED GUIDED VEHICLE SYSTEM

Booth 3922

Creform® Corporation will highlight numerous examples of its Automated Guided Vehicle components and systems, created using the Creform® series of plastic-coated pipes, mechanical joints, and hardware accessories for vehicle structures-along with new drive units, power supplies, and easy-to-install guidance layouts.

Among the featured units will be the latest version of the firm's BST vehicle drives. The new BST transports, like a mechanics 'creeper,' feature an ultra low-profile drive system measuring only 190 mm high. The drive unit is designed to travel about its guidepath, then slide under and engage a stationary cart equipped with a BST interface and then move the cart to required work stations. The low profile opens up a wider range of applications for using existing carts. The new BST can also be equipped with Creform's optional Course-10 multi-route controller providing directions for up to10 routes with up to 99 commands per route. Standard guidepath systems consist of magnetic tape placed on the floor (easy installation) for guidance and command as well as magnetic induction sensors on the unit.

In addition to the various styles of AGVs demonstrated, Creform will also present concepts and designs for many material handling structures, including full size, floor structures as well as table and bench top units. They include workstations, push carts, flow racks, and work tables, all designed to support continuous improvement and lean programs.
